The first public release of MIDIRover — free MIDI control for Neural DSP and any MIDI-enabled plugin, on every Stream Deck.
New
- Control any Neural DSP parameter — and any MIDI-enabled plugin — straight from your Stream Deck.
- Twelve action types: Control Change, Program Change, Bank Up/Down, Note, Advanced MIDI (pitch bend, aftertouch and more), a MIDI Dial for the Stream Deck + (absolute or relative for endless encoders), a one-tap Panic, a display-only MIDI Readout, a MIDI Meters bridge showing up to four levels side by side on one dial, a MIDI Monitor for diagnosing a rig, a Tempo key that follows your DAW's clock, and a text-only Label for annotating your deck.
- Program Change keys show which preset is active: the card on the key fills in when its program is the current one, and empties when another preset takes over — so a row of preset keys tells you where your rig is at a glance. It follows your rig when a Feedback input is set, and follows what MIDIRover last sent when one is not.
- MIDI Readout: a key that just shows a value coming back — a patch number, a fader position, a meter — without being pressed. Pick what to watch and how to display it; no scripting needed.
- MIDI Monitor: a key that shows the last MIDI message to arrive — its type, channel, number, value and raw bytes. For when a rig is not behaving and you need to see what is actually being sent, without a second app open.
- Tempo: a key that reads the BPM from your DAW’s MIDI clock and beats along with it — as a swinging metronome, or by flashing the whole key in your colour on each beat so you can catch it out of the corner of your eye. It follows your rig rather than asking you to tap.
- Learning Mode: tap Learn, move a knob or footswitch, and MIDIRover maps it for you — no CC numbers to look up.
- Name your channels, CCs, programs and notes so keys read like your rig instead of raw MIDI.
- Keys name themselves. Leave a key's Name empty and it shows the message it sends — CC22 ch1, PC22 ch1, C4 ch1 — or, if you have already named that CC, program or note, it uses your name instead so you never type it twice.
- Set the Name's font size per key, from 10 to 30 px, so a short label can read across the room and a long one still fits.
- The Stream Deck app’s own Title field stays yours. MIDIRover draws its label into the key face and never writes that field, so your titles, fonts and colours survive untouched.
- Power features for bigger rigs: Bank Select with Program Change, radio-style latch groups for toggles, custom dial sweep ranges, and note toggle / sustain modes.
- MIDI feedback: pick an input and your DAW keeps key lights, toggle states, and dial values in sync — and one virtual port is all you need, in both directions.
- Panic: one tap sends All Sound Off, All Notes Off and Reset All Controllers — across every channel, a single channel, or just the ones you list, so a looper or drum machine can keep running while everything else is silenced.
- Sweep mode: hold any key to sweep a parameter — a wah or volume ride on every Stream Deck, not just the +. And preset cycle lists with your own labels on Bank keys — which can also step a CC-Absolute value up or down.
- Live on-key visuals: Sweep mode draws a moving slider, a rotary knob, or just the value; toggles can show a power icon, a lever switch, or a play / pause button; the Stream Deck + dial can show a rotary knob or a from-centre ring; and every action and mode has its own brand icon.
- Colour themes: recolour your whole deck with one of six presets or your own two colours — with an optional per-key override to colour-code by function. Key backgrounds too: dark (default) or light, for the whole deck or any single key, with every preset tuned to stay readable on both.
- Works on every Stream Deck model — Mini, MK.2, XL, Neo, + and + XL, Studio, the Pedal and Mobile — on Windows and macOS.
